Greetings Greystone Girls!
Greetings Greystone Girls,
Camp is almost here and we are READY! This year was unusually warm
(not a single snow storm), so we were able to get an amazing amount of
work done. Normally we lose about 3 weeks to bad weather: it snows, we
spend a week cleaning up after the snow and sometimes it takes a month
to repair any damage that was done. This year, however, we just worked
and worked with no breaks needed! The effect is stunning. Camp looks
amazing.
One of the things your parents will be excited to learn about is our new
Accident Insurance Coverage. This free service will be most appreciated
if you ever have need of medical attention in town. This policy will
supplement your personal health plan, paying for initial medical expenses
not covered by your personal insurance. While Greystone is a very safe
place and we almost never have need of such services (we take very good
car of you and have an amazing team of nurses and doctors who take
care of all “normal” medical situations); it is nice to know that you are
covered! Do mention this program to your parents... we don’t know if
we will do it next year or not (so have them let us know if they feel it is a
good deal).
Our counselors have are more excited than you are about the
upcoming summer. For many of these counselors, this is the ultimate
experience of their entire life, one that they have been dreaming about
for years and years. Perhaps you think of being a counselor while still a
camper... that is what motivates many of our counselors! They want to be
your role model!
Get excited about seeing everything, meeting everyone, and doing
everything that camp has to offer. This is going to be an amazing
summer- our best ever. We can’t wait!
Please do write your Pen Pal... it is so sad for a camper to write and not
get a reply. It is a wonderful way to meet a new friend, so write today!
See you soon,
Jimboy
